Our story began on September 2, 1984, when Michael and Shirley Michalak courageously embarked on an entrepreneurial journey with just $100.00 in the business checking account. Their middle son, Jarrod, was right there from the start—even if, as a fourth-grader, he was often found sweeping floors and getting underfoot more than helping out. But it was during these early days that Jarrod’s passion for the automotive field ignited.
As he matured, Jarrod dedicated himself to learning every facet of the industry. Alongside his parents, he played an instrumental role in managing and nurturing the growth of our Auto Repair. In 2012, the torch was passed to the next generation when Jarrod and his wife, Rebecca, purchased the business. Their combined commitment and vision have fueled our dedication to offering unparalleled auto services.
At Michalak’s Auto Repair, we’re not just passionate about cars, we’re devoted to our mission: delivering the highest quality service with unwavering attention to detail, honesty, and integrity. Our dedication bore fruit in 2022 when we expanded to open a second location in Harleysville, allowing us to extend our exceptional services to an even wider community. This growth has been made possible due to the dedication of our incredible team, a group of hardworking and like-minded individuals who share our zeal for automotive care.
Beyond the shop, Jarrod remains an automotive enthusiast, often tinkering with his own cars and guiding his sons — Austin, Logan, and daughter Peyton — through their vehicular projects. In the rare moments he’s not engrossed with the business, you might spot him rock crawling in his cherished Jeep. Jarrod and Rebecca, bound together in marriage since 2000, attend and are active members at Cornerstone Church of Skippack .
